MLG talks with Orangemarmalade

GotFrag.com - Speaking with GotFrag from his home in South Korea, recent MLG Pro Circuit champion Naehyun "Orangemarmalade" Kang of Loaded Black reflected upon the Columbus tournament and addressed a variety of questions regarding his team.

You won MLG Columbus a little over a week ago, how do you feel about the win?

I feel big pleasure because this is the first tournament since we have joined Loaded. We didn't make Loaded disappointed, and I'm satisfied about it.

The first match you played was against Arena Pwnage. You lost the first two maps, what happened?

At first Numberone said he doesn't think that it is possible to burst them because they can be three healer team. So I had tried to make the match long and make their druid OOM but there are many holes in the long game and I realized this is not good way to win. So we changed our strat, and that worked.

Complexity red ran RMP in finals against you guys. Were you pleased that they ran RMP?

Well I never thought they will play RMP vs US because Reckful doesn't play much with the rest of the team so I just want to make fun of Reckful (JK) so I said "why don't you play Reckful? Why don't you guys play RMP or RLD?" And then they run it , so I felt my joke makes them play RMP. Also, I think the reason that Reckful could stay alive longtime against us in grand final, one of the reasons, is because of me. I am not satisfied with the grand finals because that match is the one of worst match I have ever played at a tournament. Especially the Blade's Edge (the match that Sodah kept alive at 300hp) next time I can rip them Brutally.

There were 13 teams at the event. Who were you most concerned about?

Col.black is the first, and then 3 RLS teams(because we lost 1st place in last EM4 vs. RLS)

You were the only RMP at EM4, why do you think this is?

Well, RMP have nerfed many times so after that people don't like to play it. A large number of people play the powerful and easy way but there are some players who walk a single path even though its not powerful or easy.

A lot more people are playing RMP on live now. Do you think this is because of your win?

Well if some people would play because of us, I feel honor, its not easy, but if you don't give up and go straight, you can find good result.

This was Satz's first LAN tournament, how do you think he performed?

Actually, its not the first time for Satz. He had played on Gomtv league which makes people very nervous. I know he don't feel nervous in MLG because he did well even in Gomtv :)

You can play other classes. Do you believe that you will ever choose to do so at a tournament?

As I said in the past, I have played another class but it demands big effort and time to prepare. So I don't like switching.

You were the only team to complete the tournament without a loss, how does that feel?

I had felt worrying, because we had gotten 5-0 in EM4 group stage, and we lose (we got 3rd). I never was excited or happy. 6-0 is past thing, and we have to play against the team who has qualified in B group, so just concentrate on that :)

What teams do you think did well, and poorly at the tournament?

I think CoL.Red did well, they run many combination with 4players, its big advantage for them. Bad team, hmm, maybe Vidra's team. Both of them played MLD against RLS. Col won but Vidra's team lose. I saw that the warlock from rls was too free in that game.
I think thats why they lose.
