Interview with Tail Chasers' Razzlin

MLG: Blizzard released a ton of information about the expansion. What do you think about the upcoming Shaman changes? Do you think they're good or bad? If you were the person behind the Shaman changes, what would you change? Razzlin: I think Shaman looks very cool in the expansion - being able to heal while on the move sounds so clutch. None of the changes look bad to me. Overall I think Shamans will have more utility, just as every other healer will. I think Shamans are fine right now, but Elemental's damage is broken at the moment. Hopefully, higher health pools will change that. Shamans need a nerf on tremor, though - it's pretty ridiculous right now.

MLG: Out of the top eight teams that will be attending Regionals, which team or teams do you think will give you the most trouble and which team do you think won't give you any trouble at all?

Razzlin: Obviously the beast cleave and TSG will be very hard for us - good players with those comps are devastating. Every other team I think we can manage if we play our best.

MLG: It seems like most high-end PvP players can play more than one class. Do you play any other classes, and if not, have you ever thought about it?

Razzlin: Yes, I played Priest before I played Shaman. My Shaman on live hit 80 in March and that's where I started.

MLG: PvE gear has almost become a must have for most PvP players. How often do you find yourself raiding, and if you chose not to raid, why not? Do you think that PvE gear can be game- deciding?

Razzlin: I never raid. Raiding is just very boring for me, and I find some other PvPers feel the same. PvE gear can be game-deciding, but you can overcome it.

MLG: The wizard cleave that you qualified with is Shaman, Mage, Warlock. How do you think your wizard cleave comp differs from some of the other forms of wizard cleave? Who do you think has the most important role in this makeup?

Razzlin: Our wizard cleave is very good against other wizard cleaves because of the Mage/Shaman. Tremor and the CC the Mage brings really make MLS stand out. I think the Mage is the most important in MLS because he's the one setting up kills and saving us in sticky situations.

MLG: What do you think separates the Gladiators from the tournament players? There are a ton of Rank 1 players who don't attended tournaments - why do you think this is?

Razzlin: I think what separates gladiators from tournament players is consistency. Just because you can get glad as an OP comp in one season, it doesn't make you tournament-level. Some Rank 1 players might quit or just never strive to be in the tournament.

MLG: What do you do when you're not playing WoW? What occupies most of the extra time?

Razzlin: I like to watch/attend sports, play with my dogs, hang out with family and friends. The usual. Eating out with friends and sleeping seem to occupy most of my time.

MLG: People would say that you play on a lesser Battlegroup, Ruin. What do you have to say to these people? Do you think that each Battlegroup has its own skill level or do you think that?s just a myth?

Razzlin: Ruin may not be as good as other Battlegroups, but I think we proved ourselves by qualifying. Each BG has certain good players, and not all BGs are terrible because they aren't BG 9. I would tell people to just look at how we do against other players from "good BGs" and decide for themselves.

MLG: For someone just starting out in WoW Arena PvP, what is the most effective piece of advice you could offer? What are the keys to success in WoW Arena?

Razzlin: Play with people you like. You can't succeed if you play with people who annoy you. Bind everything, and try to have fun.
